Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

We are seeking reliable and compassionate Certified Medication Aides (CMAs) to join our care team. These full-time and part-time positions play an essential role in ensuring medications are administered safely, accurately, and in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.

Position Overview

The Certified Medication Aide assists in the administration of medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician. CMAs work under the direction of the nurse supervisor/charge nurse and the Director of Nursing Services, following established nursing standards, facility procedures, and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, administer, and document oral and/or topical medications

Observe residents during medication administration and report refusals, reactions, or errors

Measure, record, and report vital signs as directed

Ensure medications are properly labeled, stored, and handled

Assist with medication charting and documentation

Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacy personnel

Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and confidentiality

Follow all safety, infection control, and sanitation procedures

Qualifications

Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification (state approved)

Strong attention to detail and documentation

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compassionate, respectful approach to resident care

Position Overview

The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) assists in the safe and accurate administration of medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician. This role works under the direction of the attending physician, nurse supervisor/charge nurse, and the Director of Nursing Services, following all state regulations, nursing standards, and facility policies.

This overnight weekend role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to resident-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately prepare, administer, and document oral and/or topical medications

Observe residents during medication administration and promptly report refusals, reactions, or errors

Follow all medication labeling, storage, documentation, and disposal procedures

Measure, record, and report resident vital signs as directed

Maintain accurate medication records and reports

Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, pharmacists, and supervisors

Uphold resident rights, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality

Follow all safety, infection control, and sanitation procedures

Participate in required training, in-services, and continuing education

Qualifications

Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification (state approved)

Ability to work every weekend overnight

Strong attention to detail and documentation

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compassionate, respectful approach to resident care
