We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Chaplain to provide spiritual care and support to residents, families, and staff. This position offers the opportunity to provide meaningful, person-centered spiritual care while supporting the overall well-being of those we serve.
Position Overview
The Chaplain provides spiritual and pastoral care in accordance with the mission, values, and policies of Holdrege Memorial Homes. This role supports residents through individual visits, group gatherings, and worship opportunities, while offering presence, comfort, and encouragement throughout all stages of care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide spiritual and pastoral care to residents and families
Offer one-on-one visits and support during times of transition, illness, or loss
Facilitate or coordinate worship services, prayer, and spiritual activities
Provide spiritual support and encouragement to staff as appropriate
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support resident well-being
Respect and support individual beliefs, preferences, and dignity
Maintain appropriate documentation and professional boundaries
Represent Holdrege Memorial Homes in community or family settings as needed
Qualifications
Experience in pastoral care, chaplaincy, or ministry
Education or training in pastoral ministry, theology, divinity, or a related field preferred
Experience working with older adults or in long-term care settings preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Compassionate, dependable, and professional
Comfortable providing care in both individual and group settings
