Municipal Services Director

The City of Holdrege is accepting applications for a Municipal Services Director. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have a valid driver’s license. Qualifications include, but are not limited to, any combination of training and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college in a related field with at least two years of experience in supervisory responsibility of a Public Works Department. The successful candidate will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of modern public works operations, including basic site engineering, plumbing, electrical, building and street construction standards, heavy equipment operation and maintenance, as well as the ability to budget for the department’s needs and administer personnel policies. Applicants should be dependable and highly self-motivated, competent in team leadership, communications, public relations, municipal planning and financial management, and have excellent interpersonal and computer skills.
This position includes a 40-hour work week and a beginning salary of $37.46 to $53.62 per hour, commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include paid vacation, sick leave and holidays, as well as health insurance and an employer-matched retirement plan.
