Emergency Dispatcher

The City of Holdrege is accepting applications for an Emergency Dispatcher. Applicants must be 19 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent and be of exceptional moral character with no felony, domestic assault or serious misdemeanor convictions. Emergency Dispatch Officers are responsible for receiving and dispatching emergency and non-emergency law enforcement, fire and medical calls. The position requires excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks, including operating computers, telephones and radio communications equipment, as well as maintaining various related written reports. This is a full-time position with a beginning salary of $20.24 - $24.41 per hour, commensurate with experience and includes paid training. We are now offering a hiring bonus of up to $3500 for our Emergency Dispatcher position including $1500 for dispatchers with no experience,  up to $3500 for dispatchers with experience.
