Equipment Operators

The City of Holdrege is accepting applications for the Street Department Equipment Operator and Landfill Equipment Operator positions. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States. Desired qualifications include training or experience operating heavy equipment and a general knowledge of concrete road construction. Applicants should enjoy working on a variety of job assignments outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions. Landfill Operators are responsible for understanding and maintaining the landfill in accordance with City and State regulations. A principled character and aptitude for maintaining productive working relationships with co-workers are essential. 
The positions include a 40-hour workweek and an hourly wage range of $20.78 to $30.59, commensurate with experience and qualifications, including the possibility of overtime on nights, weekends, and during snow removal. Benefits include paid vacation, sick leave, ten paid holidays, health insurance, life insurance, and an employer-matched retirement plan.
