Platte Valley Astronomical Observers Solar & Dark Sky Viewing

𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠.

Join us for a special event at the library of stargazing and solar viewing with the Platte Valley Astronomical Observers! From 5:00 to 6:00 PM, you'll have the chance to safely observe the sun through high-powered telescopes during our Solar Viewing session. Then, from 8:00 to 10:00 PM, after library hours, Dark Sky Viewing. We'll close off the street in front of the library for a family-friendly event. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy an evening under the stars! While the main library will be closed during the Dark Sky Viewing, restrooms will still be available in the basement. 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll move the event indoors from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, where the Platte Valley Astronomical Observers will present an indoor program.
